Regular Pool Maintenance Plans
Here are some of the tasks to keep your domestic pool in tip-top condition:
1. Test the water quality regularly. This includes checking the pH levels, chlorine levels, and alkalinity.
2. Shock the pool. This helps to kill any bacteria or algae that may be present in the water.
3. Vacuum the pool on a weekly basis. This helps to remove any dirt or debris that may have accumulated on the bottom or sides of the pool. We can also supply electronic robot cleaners that significantly reduce the amount of manual cleaning required.
4. Skim the surface of the pool daily. This helps to remove any leaves or other debris that may have blown into the pool.
5. Clean the filters on a monthly basis. This helps to remove any build-up of dirt and debris, and ensures that the filters are working properly.
6. Inspect the pool for any cracks, tears or damage on a regular basis. This helps to prevent any further damage from occurring and ensures that the pool is safe to use.
7. Add water to the pool as needed. This helps to maintain the proper water level in the pool.
8. Close the pool for the winter. This helps to protect the pool from the elements and prevent any damage from occurring.
Hot tubs & Spas
Here are some tips on how to service and maintain your hot tub:
1. Test the water regularly – you should test the water at least once a week to make sure the pH levels are balanced.
2. Shock the water – every few weeks, you should “shock” the water by adding a chlorine or bromine product. This will help to kill any bacteria that may be lurking in the water.
3. Clean the filters – the filters are what keep the water clean, so it’s important to clean them regularly. You can either clean them yourself with a hose and some filter cleaner, or have them cleaned professionally.
4. Drain and refill the water – every few months, you should drain all the water from your hot tub and start fresh. This will help to get rid of any build-up of chemicals or dirt that may have accumulated over time.
